Qatar: Air traffic resumes after temporary suspension following Iranian attack, اليوم الثلاثاء 24 يونيو 2025 12:44 صباحاً

After a temporary suspension, Qatar announced the resumption of air traffic within its airspace, restoring normal operations after necessary measures were taken in coordination with relevant authorities.

Kuwait, Bahrain, and Dubai also announced the resumption of air traffic after a brief halt, following the Iranian missile attack targeting the U.S. Al Udeid Air Base in Qatar.

Earlier on Monday, Qatar had temporarily suspended air traffic as a precautionary measure in response to the evolving security situation in the region, aiming to ensure the safety of citizens, residents, and visitors.

Later Monday evening, Qatar’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs condemned the missile attack carried out by the Iranian Revolutionary Guard on Al Udeid Base, describing it as a blatant violation of Qatar’s sovereignty, airspace, and international law.

The ministry confirmed that Qatar’s air defenses successfully intercepted and thwarted the missile attack, noting that Al Udeid Base had been evacuated earlier in line with security and precautionary procedures, with all necessary steps taken to ensure the safety of Qatari and allied forces stationed there.

Qatar emphasized its right to respond directly in a manner proportionate to the scale of the attack and in accordance with international law, warning that continued escalation risks undermining regional security and stability.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs called for an immediate halt to all military operations and a serious return to dialogue and negotiations to resolve conflicts peacefully.
